Viagem a Malta

No primeiro dia da mobilidade, começámos por ir à Our Lady Immaculate School, onde assistimos a uma pequena apresentação em vídeo sobre a escola, ficámos a conhecer melhor a cultura, os costumes e as origens de Malta e pudemos ouvir o hino da escola e o hino nacional do país. Assistimos a algumas danças e ensinaram-nos alguns passos. Depois disso, assistimos a algumas aulas e fizemos um lanche. À tarde, fomos a Valletta, a capital de Malta, visitámos alguns museus e passeamos pela cidade, com o objetivo de aprender mais sobre a sua cultura.

Na terça-feira, visitámos o Forte de Santo Ângelo e aprendemos sobre a história de Malta. Também vimos algumas igrejas em Vittoriosa, como, por exemplo, a Igreja de São Lourenço. De seguida, explorámos um pouco mais a cidade e regressámos ao hotel.

No terceiro dia da nossa incrível mobilidade a Malta, de manhã visitámos o ITS (Institute of Tourism Studies), onde aprendemos tudo sobre a arte de bem receber os clientes e de proporcionar uma excelente experiência aos visitantes em estabelecimentos ligados ao turismo. À tarde, visitámos o sítio arqueológico de Hagar Qim, um edifício neolítico que chegou até aos nossos dias, onde pudemos perceber a força da história e da humanidade. Passámos o resto do dia a relaxar e a apreciar o quão bonito o país é.

Na quinta-feira, encontrámo-nos com os outros países na escola de rapazes, o Savio College, e explorámo-la. Depois, caminhámos até à Capela de Santa Maria Madalena, que fica perto da escola, em Dingli. De seguida, participámos numa caça ao tesouro pela cidade de Mdina, com o principal objetivo de aprender sobre a história da cidade de forma autónoma e de desenvolver a nossa independência e perseverança. Visitámos também um museu chamado Domvs Romana, que se foca em mostrar a vida privada e os hábitos de um nobre romano da Antiguidade. Depois disso, separámo-nos das outras nacionalidades e explorámos um pouco mais os arredores.

No último dia, fomos novamente ao Savio College e recebemos os nossos diplomas. De seguida, dirigimo-nos ao aeroporto e regressámos a casa.

Trip to Malta

On the first day of the mobility, we started the day by going to "Our Lady Immaculate School", where we saw a small video presentation about their school, got to know more about Malta's culture, customs and origins and we were able to hear their school anthem and their country anthem. We saw some dances and they taught us a few steps. After that we attended some classes and had a snack. In the afternoon we went to Valletta, the capital city of Malta, visited some museums and walked around the city, looking forward to learning more about their culture.

On Tuesday, we visited Fort St Angelo and learned about the history of Malta. We also saw some churches in Vittoriosa, like for example St. Lawrence’s Church. Afterwards we explored a little bit more of the city and then returned to the hotel.

On the third day of our amazing mobility to Malta, in the morning we visited the ITS (Institute of Tourism Studies), where we learned all about the art of welcoming clients and making a wonderful experience for customers in tourism related establishments. In the afternoon, we visited the archaeological site of Hagar Qim, a neolithic building standing until our time, where we saw the power of history and humanity. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and seeing how beautiful the country really is.

On Thursday, we met with the other countries at the boys’ school, Savio College, and explored it. Then we walked to the St. Mary Magdalene Chapel, which is near the school, in Dingli. Afterwards, we took part in a treasure hunt around the city of Mdina, with the main goal of learning about the city’s history on our own and developing our independence and perseverance. We also visited a museum called “Domvs Romana,” which focuses on showing the private life and habits of an ancient Roman noble. After that, we separated from the other nationalities and explored the surroundings a bit more.

On the last day, we went to the Savio College again and received our diplomas. Then we headed to the airport and came back home.
